    Poetry ⨂ maths ?

Marian Christie says: "Form, content and metaphor intertwine in poems shaped by mathematical structures and concepts:

'Autumn Sunrise' is a concrete poem inspired by the first few rows of Pascal's Triangle (a triangular array of the binomial coefficients).

In 'Iterations of Emptying' successive iterations of the Sierpinski carpet fractal are used to explore how we - our history, experiences, thoughts and memories - occupy spaces that we once inhabited.

'The Primary Hourglass' is structured according to the truncation sequence of 739397, the largest two-sided prime.

In 'Degrees of Freedom' the chaotic behaviour of a coupled pendulum serves as a metaphor for how small moments of fate or decision – 'sensitive dependence on initial conditions' – can lead to major, unpredictable changes in life's trajectory."
